Having been a commercial advertising photographer in Las Vegas since 1976, I have had the fortune of maintaining a working relationship with a lot of my clients for many years. One such client is Freed's Bakery where I have been lucky enough to do most of their photography for the past twenty-five years. Joni Fried, the owner, has been a friend and client. My wife, Peggy, and Joni have been friends since they began taking ice skating lessons together as young girls. Freed's Bakery had been a fixture in Las Vegas for over 50 years. Joni has taken over where her father and mother left off. She recently consolidate her two locations into a new mega-store at 9815 S. Eastern Ave.
Last week, Joni had me come by and photograph many of her tasty pastries, cookies and cakes for a multitude of uses. I have to admit that the rugulach was too much for me to resist and a few pieces were consumed by the photographer. A few other pastries may have gone missing also, but no one was counting. I will post a few of the 142 images we created that day.
